What attracted me to the tree?

I just love creativity! This agency is a great opportunity for me to keep my creative juices flowing, and oversee how modern ideas materialise into zingy content.

My experience

Although starting out as a teacher, I was always driven by a creative passion to set up my own business – a design and communications company dbda, specialising Corporate Social Responsibility, Education and Safety.

I’ve headed up many major projects for blue-chip corporates, such as BP, Nationwide, National Grid and FIA, charities such as The Red Cross, as well as local authorities and Government Departments of Health, Transport and Education in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England.

As dbda’s success grew over 25 years it was then bought by Ten Alps – Sir Bob Geldof’s group - where I continued as Chair of dbda, working on SchoolsWorld and extending the Children’s Traffic Club into digital format.

Clients have always come first and I’m delighted that the programmes I’ve created and the service provided have won many accolades and awards for them. However I was also extremely proud to have received an MBE from the Queen in 2008.

Besides working with the tree, I am presently a Trustee/Director of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety.

Meet the team

Be interesting and interested. That's what we ask of our staff.

The opportunity to build a team and service clients using your own ideas is exciting, isn’t it?

No one would mind me saying that this is a diverse and unique mix of individuals.

...it’s a young, exciting organisation that’s ready to blossom

From my very first interview, I had a great feeling about the tree.

There’s a brilliant atmosphere here, and you can see that reflected in the quality of work.

Why not try and have some fun with work, fancy a beer?

There is such a collaborative nature working here.

We're all born naked and the rest is drag.

As soon as you walk in there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere

I work across an incredibly diverse range of clients at the tree.

Every day has been authentic and exciting.
