The UK property market has shifted. Online property portals are booming and according to capital market researchers, Hardman & Co., a staggering 90% of properties are purchased after searching the likes of Rightmove and Zoopla. Does this sound the end of the high street letting agent?
As this is such a fast-growing area for online marketing, we were thrilled to get a phone call from the new Global Head of Marketing at Easyroommate - Europe’s largest room rental and flatsharing platform.
After some upfront workshops and strategy analysis, they appointed us to manage their content production and community management, which included delivering multilingual content for their French website and online community.
Our first goal was to build brand awareness by growing their social media profiles and blogging communities. We then concentrated on tracking user engagement and customer acquisition through the website. Ultimately, we were tasked with increasing revenue by using fresh, creative content marketing techniques to attract both landlords and tenants.
We took a “real time” approach to content, using our social listening and data tools to discover current topics and themes to make the Easyroommate feeds feel up-to-date and relevant to its users. Analysing the popularity of the social posts enabled us generate well-measured editorial, video and other visual content.
Our outreach team also used influencer networks to maximise the reach of the content we created. This multi-format, multi-channel approach to marketing has created a drumbeat of activity, helping Easyroomate to become a familiar brand for flatsharers as they go head-to-head with the likes of Spareroom and Weroom in this market.
