Dawn has been involved with the tree since its concept in 2014, and has been delighted to see the growth from that small acorn to a flourishing forest!

Her life mantra has always been “there’s no such word as ‘can’t’ – its I’ll try!” This determination has been illustrated throughout her career, where she started out as a teacher, rapidly moving on to become a head. But her passion to set up her own business - dbda - a design and communication consultancy fired her enthusiasm to really try and make a difference, so she focused on Corporate Social Responsibility. Working with Governmental Departments, local authorities, and major global brands such as BP, BMW, Marks and Spencer, Nationwide and Zurich she won many awards for her clients specialising in education: finance, science, and safety.

The company’s success grew and dbda was bought by Ten Alps, where Dawn then moved on to be chairman of dbda, but also heading up Corporate Responsibility for all the other media companies in the Ten Alps group.

Throughout her working life Dawn has sat on many boards as a trustee - for several Royal and Parliamentary advisory charities and this, together with her developing a multi award winning international safety programme, the Children’s Traffic Club, led to her being honoured by being awarded an MBE.

Dawn is extremely proud that the tree has the same ethos of making a difference – to clients and colleagues, helping nurture a team of motivated, talented and hardworking staff to provide sound strategies and creative programmes.
